Heather on Clay
I was introduced to clay when I was very young, by my grandmother. We spent an afternoon decorating tiles and even a making a small thrown pot. Ever since I have been fascinated with the ceramic medium, and am always seeking to learn more about it.
Heather on Creation
As an engineer by trade, I have found that ceramics is an outlet for my creative energies, where I can just make something as I want to without strenuous planning. This leads to a wonderful balance between my need for order and logic, and my need for creation and beauty. In other words, it keeps me sane.
